My stay at the Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area was decent overall, with standout staff and a great location near the Mayo Clinic. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of my room left much to be desired, and I struggled to get a good night's sleep due to a soft bed. The breakfast options in the lounge could be improved, but I appreciated the friendly atmosphere created by the staff.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was okay in size, but it wasn't as clean as I had hoped, with some dust and even insects present. The bed was too soft for my liking, which made sleeping difficult.
Service
8.0
The staff at the hotel were excellent and truly the highlight of my experience. They were friendly and helped make my stay more enjoyable when I had concerns.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is incredibly convenient for accessing the Mayo Clinic, allowing easy navigation to appointments without having to step outside.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast in the lounge was quite underwhelming with limited options. However, the evening snacks during happy hour in the lounge were much better and made up for the breakfast experience.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities seemed a bit outdated and in need of further renovations. The executive lounge had good amenities, but overall the hotel's condition wasn't what I expected although the availability of nearby dining options was beneficial.

I had mixed feelings during my stay at the Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area. While the location was fantastic for accessing the Mayo Clinic, the overall hotel experience left much to be desired with outdated decor and some service hiccups. I appreciated the friendly staff, but my initial room experience was less than ideal, which impacted my overall enjoyment considerably.

Rooms

The room I stayed in had a somewhat dark ambiance, and I encountered issues with the keycards that took multiple tries every time. It felt a bit tired and not as fresh as I had hoped.
Service

I found the staff to be generally friendly and helpful, especially during check-out when the manager resolved a billing discrepancy efficiently. However, my experience at check-in wasn't as pleasant, as I dealt with a rude front desk clerk which was disappointing.
Location

The hotel's location is a major advantage, with easy access to the Mayo Clinic via the underground connections. This made it incredibly convenient for my medical appointments.
Dining
5.0
I tried the hotel restaurant for breakfast, but it was lacking. The service was slow and the food didn't meet my expectations, especially considering my early appointment.
Facilities

The hotel had standard facilities. While the lobby was inviting, I expected more in terms of maintenance and modern amenities in the rooms.

My stay at the Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area had its ups and downs. The hotel's location was extremely convenient for my visits to the Mayo Clinic, which I really appreciated. However, I encountered some issues with the service, particularly the initial room assignment and the general atmosphere, which felt a bit tired. While the staff was friendly, the cleanliness and details in the room could have been better.

The hotel's proximity to the Mayo Clinic was excellent. I could easily access appointments via skywalks without needing to go outside, which was a huge plus for me.
Dining
7.0
Dining options on-site were decent, but I found the hours limited, and I missed breakfast a couple of times due to early appointments. The service was good, though.
